Oxygen bars and oxygen supplementary breathing are used by people to get an energy boost.I don't understand the exact science behind why that is, but I think we should be able to make sticks of chewing gum that will give you a boost of energy. The boost of energy could come from oxygen being released as you chew it.Any thoughts?

It might be quite flammable.

Yet another incentive to quit smoking.

This isn't for casual use, but instead this is for an energy boost: anytime, anywhere. You need to pay attention and not blow yourself up when using it.

I am not well acquainted with the physiology of oxygen absorbtion but it seems to me that oxygen swallowed may not get into the bloodstream as well as oxygen breathed. And it might contribute to burping.

I guess you'd need to create the gum so that gastric juices don't release the oxygen in the same way as saliva would. That way you could mostly avoid burping and bloating.Probably not as good an idea as I originally thought.
