Car Makes Its Own Appointments | |||||||||||||||||
A car with sensors that indicate if service is required, and if it is connects through a cell phone to a service facility. It then checks the service facility's electronic calendar and proposes a time to the driver when the car can be brought in for service. If the driver agrees, an appointment is made. The system also can connect to a vendor to order parts.

True this could work. Unfortunately, the car dealership often services it's own sales. For that reason, they stand to make more money by programming their cars to make appointments more often. Plus, it just simply couldn't work efficiently.
Already in development, and not far from the market.
