universal carpass for pinoys | |||||||||||||||||
Is your car windshield filled with different sticker pass for different villages, buildings, offices that you have to go to or live in? Why wont they just come up with like an E-pass or EC-tag just like from the SLEX and NLEX? Attaching the sticker pass, if you have not noticed is a security threat to you. Strangers would now have an idea the places you often go to, the place where you work or worse where you live by just looking at the stickers on your windshield. Would you risk your security for a little more amount to pay? The universal carpass would work like an E-pass it would be attached on your windshield and it will be detected by a sensor on the gate if it has load to cover for you toll fee or in this case if you have the necessary sticker to be able to enter. Have you not experienced that one of your sticker passes attached on your wind shield was stole? In the universal carpass it will be attached from the inside of the vehicle and will have no markings so that no one can no where you go to, live and work.

this is a good idea, but how would this pass determine which subdivisions, compounds or bulidings your car is or is not allowed in? may be when you buy this specific pass you can already program it to allow you to enter the certain places where you have registered. in this case, all these locations that require this security measure will have to adapt this method of universal carpass. if adapted...this could be of great convenience to so many people!
its good that you raised that point, the carpasses are going to be progaramable. it would only be like buying a sticker for a certain village but you dont have to stick it on your windshield anymore. you just go to the place where you used to buy the sticker pass and bring your carpass there and have them add to your carpass access to their village or office or building.
its stupid!!!! how can marginalized people buy this thing???? most filipinos cant afford to buy an e-pass or even worse FOOD!!! and so how do you think this would help the phillipines?!?!?!?!? majority of the people living in our country are below midle class so how can this (thing) help them????? don't get me wrong i like this idea i really think it would give big convience to the middle class and upper class but what would happen to the lower middle class??? i think it would really be unfair to them because i'am sure they have more important things to buy with there limited money!!!!
admainovate is a troll.
i agree wit admainovate.. and therefore, im a troll too..
Very nice. I hate lots of extra stickers/passes/etc. This could take care of parking payments, too- or even link it to your cell and people could validate parking, let you enter, etc with a simple call or text.
Downside is the cost and the requirements for interoperability. At least RFID is getting cheap. :S
Am I alone in not understanding this post?
What is a Pinoy? Where can I buy one?
I have never heard of needing a pass to get into a village.
Car park barriers often need a card which you stick in a slot or hold up to a reader to open them, so you keep it in your glove compartment.
Windscreen stickers are for non-barrier car parks, they are checked (if ever) by a security guard walking around, who needs to be able to read them.
ChrisF, I suspect this idea is solely for those living in the Philippines. There is the real threat of abduction by the Moro Liberation Front (Islamic separatists), anti-government forces, and other militant groups, especially for foreigners from rich nations.
