when you travel through plane, they usually make you turn off your cellphones and laptops. i know this may have interference with the plane's communication systems, but isn't there a way for airlines to provide their passengers some sort of communication? for example, providing internet access on planes? i am not very familiar with the technicalities of this concept but i am sure they could find a way so that it would not interfere with the planes operations. this would be very convenient for travellers on very long flights and it could also serve as a security measure.
