Why not put up a small PA system inside the computer lab? The room is so big that is why it is hard to hear the one who is speaking/reporting in front. My attention deviates from the discussion. it is much better if i could hear what is the discussion all about.

We can also create transmit the sound thru earphones so nearby classrooms won't be disturbed.
