When I try to make a turn across traffic (in my case a left turn), it is hard for me to tell what opposing drivers are doing. Sometimes they are slowing to let me turn and other times they are accelerating. I propose a light on the front of a car to indicate that it is slowing as it approaches you. It wouldn't take much to add this, and would help greatly with turning against traffic, jawalking, etc...

Do the front turn signal lamps offer stop light action? They do on most cars in North America.

This would be especially useful when you want to make a left turn, you are part way into the intersection and the light is about to turn red. Knowing that oncoming cars are stopping (or not) would be great information before turning.

There is one more benefit. The pedestrians could see that the car is really braking and not just driving slowly. I usually drive by car but those times I have to cross the street by foot I really liked to see if a car is braking to let me go. I'd color those front braking lighs GREEN.

Why not just wait until the lanes are clear to make your turn??????? A lot lot safer and cheaper!!!!! Your Super Sized Fries will wait for you a little longer!!
