The all "Discoverer" | |||||||||||||||||
Hey! Folks!! New idea into my grey matter.. Just imagine the wealth of information the world today enjoys.And having most of this info in the electronic format on the net further aids the idea I am about to put.There are always "All know Granpa" search engines like "Google".Now right into my point: A brief and quick look at the way our previous discoveries/inventions in the past have been done,that have brought about a revolution( like the invention of an atom bomb,that matter can be converted into energy,and many other such ideas )can be artificially simulated.i.e what we call serendipity in science that has put great minds into work in the past can actually be simulated at will. I am not an expert in the field of programming, but I put forward a brief step by step guide on how to bring new,random,original,astounding ideas into picture,so that we can get to relate on them: 1)Put all the knowledge in this world at one huge storage space.(I guess Google has done this already for us..well almost) 2)Now set up a random idea generator or let us call it the random words generator that randomly picks up two or more topics. 3)A team of experts(emotionally self driven to be serendiptious) may then be appointed who spend their life's pondering on whether a relation can be established on the now nonsense idea. 4)Once somebody, thinks it is feasible we could think of research. True the idea is far fetched.But it gives us an insight into relations that we never thought existed.Who knows one day we might discover a relation between the source of all energy in this universe and our earth through this "random, stupid at first, idea generator,or link establisher!!!" After all they say geniuses are measured by the number of connections that they have in their brains between their neurons that can link many ideas and bring a new one.In a sense the complex machine "Brain" also is in a way a random idea generator.We have copied nature beautifully in our helicops,housing,why not try even this!

Although nature solves problems by interfacing situations with random solutions filtering out things that don't work by discarding them, the process is extremely wasteful and time consuming. The value of human creativity is that it catches likely possibilities by acknowledging similarities in situations and tests their validity. This is much faster and less wasteful than random trials and more practical from the point of view of the limits of the human life span.
