many car electronic add-ons must be installed by a pro. when we buy a new radio, amplifier, or whatever, it would be so much easier to simply plug it into an outlet. instead we have to solder, or twist or tape wires together. why not put some small outlets under the dash? radio manufacturers would have standardized plugs. i have no problem putting a radio into the dash or screwing an amplifier to the trunk. but when it comes to wiring...forget it.

That would make things even more difficult, not that it's difficult in the first place... Nothing would match up for one and it would require a sacrifice in sound performance and clarity. I have been installing car audio video equipment since i was about 13 years old, its not a hard thing to do... considering most of it is colour coded and if its not it comes with instructions... use them
