Skid Steer for Cars | |||||||||||||||||
Why not have skid steer for passenger vehicles? It would make parking a breeze. A mechanical linkage or computer controlled motors might be the ticket as hydraulic motors are too heavy and large. Functional and tricked out! Imagine turing 360's on a dime in your driveway while your neighbors turn a deep shade of green.

I'm imagining the tire replacement costs as the tires on a car are a lot softer than the ones on a skid-steer loader.
there are a lot of problems here, first off, skidding causes far greater wear on tires, as well as uneven wear, also, it would wear the roads faster, also, the design changes in the cars would need to be far greater than what you state, skid steering causes tremendous stress on every linkage, and a general torque diagonally across the body, the entire suspension would need to be redesigned.
