There are plenty of people who regularly attend gyms who have competitive fires burning inside.

Why not turn this competitive spirt in to sports activities?

Since each gym represents a city, the natural geographical rivalries and match-ups already exist.

There could be all types of sports - women vs. women, coed vs. coed, men vs. men, baseball, softball, flag football, volleyball, basketball, you name it....

Imagine Bally's Culver City facing off against Bally's Hawthorne for Bally's Basketball Los Angeles title.

Also there is a underserved market for organized amatuer adult sports.

A Bally's or 24hr fitness could tie in sponsorships and other sports marketing to generate additional revenue from the sporting events.

Instead of Bally's or 24hr fitness spending tons of money sponsoring other sporting events they could just create their own.
