A very large amount of information can now be stored in a very small space such as in the USB socketed flash memory. In New Orleans a great deal of medical information was lost or unavailable due to destruction of files or power loss at medical centers. A medical bracelet carried by everybody could incorporate that person’s entire medical history readable by any computer which could be updated at every medical visit. In addition to the digital information the bracelet could have easily viewed color bands indicating specific problems such as diabetes, heart disease, allergies, hypertension etc. to prevent accidents by ambulance personnel from making fatal rescue errors. Although a password to this information might be generally useful, in emergencies an over ride would probably be necessary

i think this is a great idea, it facilitates changing doctors, as well as rescues and eliminates the need for lengthy paperwork at the emergency room to acquire a medical history. the only hurdle i see is making the device durable enough to survive an accident which wold have incapacitated the victim, waterproof, and small.
