Cell phone ring configurator | |||||||||||||||||
Cell phone needs to be in a silent / virator mode in many areas (hospital, movie theatres etc.,) Further, it needs to be switched back when one is out of this cell phone ring free zone. Why not a device, that detects cell phone, alerts on when some one is in the cell phone ring free zones, alert again back on when some one is out side cell phone ring free zones.

I thought in hospitals phones were supposed to be switched off.
It's not the ringing hospitals object to, its the fact that they are radio transmitters and they transmit even if they not receiving a call and are switched into silent mode. Worst case, a radio transmitter can upset hospital equipment.
If you switch it off, don't you get a "missed calls" message when you switch it back on, so you know who to call back?
A little off of my idea, of having a transmitter that transmits a coded signal (in a theater or the like), and a receiver in the phone that responds to the coded message to configure the phone as per the code sent from the traqnsmitter
