No More Stinking Frig | |||||||||||||||||
At times your refrigerator can stink. Instead of a box of baking soda I would like you to consider a small air freshener dispensing unit that can screw into the light socket of any refrigerator. Each time the refrigerator door is shut the unit would spray a small cloud of baking soda based freshener thus keeping the unit stink free.

A baking soda solution spryed regularly on everything in a refrigerator would deposit baking soda on everything inside which would crystalize into a powdered coating. If everything was stored in plastic bags or containers it would result in a gritty coating that might be annoying and require a frequent rince. Anything stored openly would have the coating which would require washing off.
My experience is that baking soda works best if you sprinkle it on the shelves rather than just leaving an open box. This link contains other helpful hints for the fridge.

There are activated charcoal filters available for general air cleaning/deodorizing. These might be more in line, especially if made part of the airflow.
