There's nothing wrong with the desire as such an instrument would be useful to people with sight problems although it might encourage iliteracy. Unfortunately it requires a total computer plus scanner and the technology for reducing this to small hand held size is approaching but I doubt it has yet arrived.
I think that someone's already invented something like that. I saw a pen in a magazine that reads and translates what ever live you roll it on. Good Idea anyway.
