Lost Wallet | |||||||||||||||||
Im not 100% sure if this has happened or not but i think a good idea would be to put tracking devices in your wallet. They should be the same weight and size of a credit card therefore it would be able to fit in the average wallet. The way this would work is when you buy it it would come with a system that you would be able to load on your computer. The system would be able to tell you where the wallet is by using satelites. This way if you are traveling and lose your wallet youd be able to find it and if it got stolen you could know where it was.

What if someone else used it to track you? Not to sound paranoid, but this brings up all kinds of privacy concerns.
Also, if your wallet was in a faraday cage (grounded metal enclosure, such as an elevator or a safe) you wouldn't be able to locate it anyway.
A way this could work so as to protect the private locations of many is to have within the system an off and on switch that could only be activated by the buyer. Such as a password in the system.
You could have a separate wallet sensor that you carry in a pocket away from the wallet. If the wallet and sensor are moved too far apart, say 10-12 feet, an alarm beeper sounds in the wallet and sensor. This will warn you if your wallet is snatched or you set it down and forget to pick it up before you leave.
