Washer/Dryer Combo | |||||||||||||||||
ok..not just a washer and matching dryer, one machine that does both without requiring the manual step of moving the clothes from the washing machine to the dryer. As if doing laundry isn’t a big enough pain, why does it need to be so manual? If a washer/dryer unit were stacked, it would be pretty easy to have the washer, on top, simply drop the clothes into the dryer through an automated, removable panel that would then start the specified dry cycle. In addition, the manual processes of cleaning the lint screen, adding detergent or fabric softener, or even detecting whether or not the clothes are dry, should be an automated process that can be detected by the machine and added/adjusted as needed. Conceptually, this type of machine should also be able to notify you when the entire cycle is finished via pager, phone call, IM or any other type of wireless communication as nothing is more annoying than the loud buzzer that exits today. Once we have this down, we can start working on self cleaning clothes. :)
