Looking for batteries I never know if they are old or new and I dont know how much of the battery is left. So I always have to test them out on something. I think it would be a good idea to have the battery meter on the battery instead of actually having to buy one. There should be a way to just look at the battery and it shows you how much of the battery acid is left. Sorta like having a little strip that is see through so you can tell how much "juice" it has remaining.

Well, this one is out there or at least it used to be. They have a strip on the side of the battery. Depress both ends with your thumb and index finger and the strip will show you how much juice is left.

Bkeene I looked it up they used to have those on enegizers but they dont make them anymore

briansalvesen, Aug 27 2006

Hmm, I guess people were keeping their questionable batteries around too long for the manufacturers' liking.
