TVshave sleep timers that will turn the TV off at a set time that you control. These are designed so you can watch right before you fall asleep. I think that iPods should have this so you can listen in bed. This way you wouldnt waste the battery and once you get to sleep you can have a sound sleep without the noise of the music. This would also work when plugged into a stereo.
