In Arizona everyone who votes in the presidential election gets a ticket with a number on it. Then at the end of the election one number is chosen at random and the person with that number gets 1 million dollars. This encourages people to vote and I think all states should do this.

Instead of voting to get a million dollars it might make more sense to vote to get honest and efficient government. This requires, of course, citizens who are familiar with the important issues and care that the people put in power do very important things in the lives of citizens. Mindless voting in the infitesimal chance to become a millionaire does not, to my taste seem like something worth encouraging.
Bri, I got to agree with Sand on this one. A vote is a privilege and that privilege must be understood. Bribing people to vote mindessly in hopes of monetary gain is a tribute to the mind set of folks you would probably would not want to decide who leads your country. If you are a voter who "cares" this sort of makes your vote worthless.
