My parents have a coffee maker that beeps when finished brewing. The next logical extension? Alarm clock.

Some coffee makers can be programmed to brew automatically in the morning. (Deluxe ones even grind whole beans for extra freshness!) Now that the coffee is finished, it might as well wake you up. Ideal for those who have neither.
