sanitized toilet door handle | |||||||||||||||||
In the manner of existing rotating toilet seats that pass through a sanitising mechanism, how about a mechanised toilet door handle? A metal ring, embedded at right angles to the door like a wheel, emerging on each side to form handles. The ring revolves at regular intervals, cleaning itself.

Just rotating through some wiper material is not enough if the material becomes infected.
It would be a disinfecting wipe, therefore not susceptible to becoming infected itself (except by the 0.001% of germs able to withstand conventional disinfectants).
Why not just put the handle so you can operate it with your foot?
I simply try not to touch anything in the bathroom after washing my hands. The bathrooms better geared towards this have doors that push open to exit, and a garbage can nearby for catching paper towels used on the door in this manner.
The revolving seat I have yet to see. Sounds interesting enough on its own. Door handle seems a tad overkill.
"Why not just put the handle so you can operate it with your foot?"I agree with bkeene12 that foot operation is easier. No door at all is even better, with the entry curving around so people can't see in.
