Unfortunatly, there is a major flaw in this idea. Some shows simply are not funny. At all. Typically the good shows do not have laugh tracks such as The Simpsons and South Park. By removing a laugh track, people would realize how awful most shows are and then maybe people would start reading books. We can't have that now, can we?

Arrested Development did fine without a laugh track. Many other unconventional sitcoms like that do.

I think itis very annoying also

The idea is to make you feel how unhappy you are. They want to show in a way, Look at these people, they can laugh without any reason, you can also do it, Madan Kataria is successfully doing it in 100 countries.

Most modern sitcoms don't use laugh tracks, they're taped in front of a live audience, though often the audience is cued when to laugh. Can anyone name a current sitcom that uses a laugh track?
