During morning commutes everyone is zooming about and I often notice cars wizing by and ignoring the crosswalk stop signs carried by crosswalk attendants. It's a very dangerous situation to say the least.

I think the problem is we drive with the flow of the traffic and it is hard to antincipate when an attendant/kids is going to attempt to cross.

Why not supply the crosswalk attendants with stop signs that flash, create a siren sound, and maybe even project a light so not only drivers in front but ones behind can better anticipate stopping?
