It seems that for a while there, cameras were placed everywhere on everyone with mics to catch the audio as well for sports like football, baseball, and basketball. Now I did grow tired of some of these new angles at times because they were overused and tiresome at times (maybe not a refcam when he gets knocked by a player). But I was thinking about a camera being placed into the actual ball. Of course it could not be rigidly placed in the ball, because it would just flip over and over as the ball spun. But maybe it could be like those (weird reference) balls that have water inside them and a eyeball that is bottom heavy, so that when you roll it, it continues to look up at you. That might actually work for bowling, as long as the balance of the ball wasn't sacrificed for the camera's stability. Or, more effective, would be some kind of gyroscope that kept the camera stable (I'm assuming we have the technology to make tiny cameras that can have a tiny peephole out of the baseball or basketball). Just imagine seeing the guy hit the homerun and then taking a ride inside the ball as it goes over the fence.

I like this idea with bowling balls. I don't see it being much more useful than existing tech, but it should make for a fun project. Would this be a completely sealed device, or would there be some way to unlock it? It would have to allow for the ball to keep a smooth surface all the way around.

For charging, you could simply install connections inside the finger holes, opposite the grip, and make internal brush contacts. Alternatively, you could make it rechargeable through a magnetic motor. Also, I think it would definitely have to be gyroscopic, and very generously lubricated.
