One significant symptom of heat stroke is NO sweating. Wouldn't it be great if there is a portable device that can be worn around a person's upper arm (near the armpit), and detects 3 triggering conditions: core body temperature above 40 degrees celsius, rapid pulse rate, and no sweating. Once all these 3 conditions are fulfilled at the same time, it will set of an audio alarm and Radio Frequency (RF) to a medical rescue team. This way, emergency medical help will come in time to save a person's life who suffers a heat stroke.

I hope you might have a medical back ground because if this is possible it would be a phenomenal invention. If it is not possible right now someone like yourself needs to find a way to make it happen. This is a GREAT idea and seems simple, and straight forward enough, to make happen. Run with this one. Good thinking!
Good idea for soldier health management. With the advent of "Future Combat Systems", this might be incorporated into the soldiers data and comm pack.
Though, you have received my consent for this idea but the most fundamental question is:-
So many people are suggesting so many devices to be born and carried by people that in the end everything seems to be a mess and NOTHING HAPPENING.
I think you have the talent and knowledge to dig this idea deap further and think of a device which is ALMOST all in one or at least has a wider spectrum covering at least most of the problems connected to instant illnesses like heat stroke, influenza, diarrhoea, malaria, dehydration, etc. and count millions of dallars making it a MUST BUY for travellers.
I won't be surprized if insurance companies and other concerned authorities like health, come forward and help financially in developing it and later subsidizing the prices.
Not only the pleasure travellers but all sorts of people exposed to such problems including service providers will buy it.
As far as you alarm and signalling system is concerned, that can be of utmost use for adventurers, border security forces, UN or other workers working in remote areas etc.
If you see any theoratical feasibility, please contact me for physical development( model or prototype) of this product.
Influenza, diarrhoea and malaria are not really instant illnesses, they take time to develop and become serious. The most important instant illnesses are heart attacks and strokes. An alarm/signaling device for those would be a sure seller.
I forgot to mention, the original idea is a good one. A heat stroke/dehydration detector would also be excellent for long distance runners and other endurance athletes.
Not an expert. Only 12 years old. Was wondering if we could also feed in the VERY iIMPORTANT personal health data into this device like the medicines the person is allergic to, the cronicle disease he is carrying, the blood group, the medicines he has been taking etc.
As a concept, the idea is not bad, if possible, the epilepsy, diabetese( sugar levels ), measuring of blood pressure etc can also be added to the device.
It can develop into a must carry instrument by millions, If all that can be diagnosed with the help of sweat, muscle contractions, pulse rate and body temperature. Whenever, the abnormalcy is detected you are allerted either by sound or by vibration.
