Audio bass and treble | |||||||||||||||||
I use my computer to listen to radio from various places and frequently the bass and treble controls on the speaker system does not permit me to adjust the sound for clearly hearing fuzzy voices. If there were extended bass and treble controls within the internal sound system of the computer itself before it reached the speakers I might be able to make the voices much clearer.

Digital filtering allows for much more than simple base and treble controls. I'm kind of surprised more digital filtering options aren't commonly available for computer media. They are computation hogs, but you could pre-process a 10 second piece to get what you want, then apply it to the whole piece, then listen to your DSP processed version.
I don't know about your computer soundsystem, but mine has a graphic equaliser to adjust digitalaudio. It doesn't adjust the passthrough audio though.
Buy a decent sound card.
