How about a clarification on where the amber alert should be displayed and who is to set it off. I doubt a demented elder would have the capability to warn people about being off the rocker.

Alright, so for more detail...An Alert would be started the same way an amber alert would be. Once cops are notified of such missing persons, all the media would be notified and would broadcast the alert of the missing person and their description until the search is over. The only thing different from an Amber Alert would be the age of the missing person, probably 65 and above, and as said, especially those with dementia.
