We all know that with plug-in cars, well, you have to plug them in to recharge the battery's. Why not set up wind turbines to send electricity to electric fueling pumps. If you get enough wind turbines you can recharge an electric power car in no time. So if you're on a long road trip, instead of pluging your car in and waiting hours, you could pull up to a windstation and recharge the battery in minutes.

Is there a lot of wind where you live? It wouldn't succeed very well here in the area north of Seattle. How much wind do you need to produce, say, 15 amps? It is probably more than you imagine.
Wind farms are always welcomed with open arms either. Even Sen. Kennedy (who is a proponent of alternate energy) opposes the installation of a wind farm near his home in MA.
Adequate wind turbines may not be doable, or desirable in an urban landscape.More realistic is a covered parking garage that has solar PV cells on the roof.
The power from wind is very small to the power from fossil fuels like oil and coal. It is cheaper and more efficient to have coal power plants that generate electricity. You would then plug your car in at home, overnight, to let it recharge using this coal powered electricity. For the vast majority of the time, you would only travel 50 miles or so per day, which would be the range of the battery. After that, the car automatically kicks on the gas engine until you can get home to plug it in. If you go on a long trip, you simply would use the gas engine and fill up at gas stations.
