I think this has already been done on some of the luxury car brands. . .
Kind of a no-brainer. I think Harleys had this feature at least two decades ago. If the speakers were tuned to the speed of the car rather than background noise (including sirens and airplanes), this might be safer on the ears.
This is done in my 2006 Scion xB, adjusts volume vs speed.
The JVC Kameleon (which was a very popular head unit in the late 90's/early 2000's) had a feature which would read the car's alternator and adjust the volume for higher acceleration.
I also rented a Ford F-150 once which had this feature. It's nice to slow down for a stop sign and not have the music blaring in your ear.
