'Green fridge/freezer' | |||||||||||||||||
To make a refrigerator/freezer combination more energy-efficient by using a "shared rotating platform" which can automatically transport products from the freezing part to the fridge part by rotation of a shared platform. This idea is based on the possible energy savings which could be achieved by 'de-frosting' items in a fridge, rather than de-frosting items the normal way or even worse, by using a microwave. To complement this, a user-friendly computer system to manage the contents of the 'green fridge/freezer' would be a good idea, and this would also make people more aware of their energy usage.

The most efficient way tould be to have a compartment that directly links to the frozen or cold section with a set of motorised dampers and the like. A whole moveable platform would be more apt to freeze, and draw more power.
