I want a maybe peripheral or software device to log the times i turn on and off my computer, the power consumption during that time and possibly what it's costing me based on my power bill. I'm not sure how much it's costing me to keep my computer on all the time downloading stuff but I'd like to know.

If its for raw power consumption monitoring, you can get consumer grade per appliance watt-hour meters.

I'd imagine that you could get an estimate based on the wattage of your monitor and your computer's power supply.
