Need a way to transfer files directly from a BlackBerry to a laptop: e.g., either through a cable, or by transferring to a flash drive. Many attachments are better seen on a proper sized monitor; and direct file transfer is a more secure and faster alternative to email.

Tecnically doabe, it would be incumbent upon the providers to enable direct transfers, if not RIM enabling it in their software.

hmmm they are over rated poor devices

If you had a real PDA you wouldnt ask this.I sync trough IR bleutooth and cables.Or trough wireless gprs or trough phone based modems.
