Since a lot of couples have full time jobs, some of which require travel, establish a kennel/ pet adoption service which allows pets to be "shared" with the elderly. A lot of elderly like to have pets but also struggle with full time care of the pet. The kennel can arrange for a match making service where you can have someone "adopt" your pet for times when you are away.

This is an excellent idea. It addresses two needs with one totally workable solution. You could set up a home business on the web to do this very easily. I wonder if someone has already done it?
I agree. Great idea. You should look into it more. It's a win-win-win situation... pets, owners and elderly. You might even be able to get start-up grant money for it because it is providing a type of care for the elderly. Good luck with your "pet project".
