Discovered in the office kitchen one day at work, after a silly combination of hot chocolate and plain oatmeal. Sounds interesting? Then try it, you'll be up for a surprise!
This occured after being sick and tired of the plain old oatmeal and its usual single serving individual flavored packages, such as; brown sugar, banana, and etc.
I've had a similar meal like this back in my hometown growing up, we call it "champurado", it was basically rice soup w/ cocoa flavor and sugar, and would usually be eaten in the morning just like oatmeal as well.
Out of curiousity, has anyone seen an Oatmeal Co's having this on their flavor list already? If not, then maybe they should consider.

I wonder why anybody with the sense to boil water has to wait for a commercial enterprise to flavor his oatmeal. A teaspoonful of cocoa plus a bit of honey or sugar and perhaps a dash of cinnamon in regular oatmeal can provide whatever variations in this direction without waiting for some advertising executive to decide he has a new marketing idea.
I agree with sand and add, unoriginal.

I also agree with sand. However, this isn't really a bad idea. It's better than a lot of the suggestions I've seen posted here.
Hence the website's name "whynot?". So what if a simple thought like that was to be shared as a new marketing idea? So what if you've got your honey, sugar, & cinnamon? Unfortunately that's been thought of already too.
You know it's people like you all who's got nothing else to do but discourage creative minds out there. & can you prove w/ anything better?
I think chocholate flavored oatmeal is already marketed by Quaker Oats. I know for a fact they recently marketed a chocholate/oatmeal snack bar. I'll look the next time I go to the grocery and report back.
