recording a class for later | |||||||||||||||||
there are days when you the college student will not feel well and know you won't be able to concentrate on what the professor said in that class you need....so you decide to sleep...then you call that friend who has the same class as you and see if that class was taped and notes were taken...NOTHING...awww man you're in trouble....if only the whole class was set up like the recording room of a studio. each class would have their own free recording studio built right in with mics and a mixer which would actually record straight to cd. when that cd is finalized...it is immediately duplicated to a number of cd's according to the class size and if you have signed up for the service, delivered to your home, office, or personal mailbox provided by that college. all of this would be free because it would be covered by a grant.

Take it to this century. Offer Netcasts of the lectures to students, which of course some institutions do.
i think that netcasts are a great idea, but i also think that if you want to go with the cds, you can simply make, say 5 copies for each lecture, and make it a section in the school library. not automatically distributed, but free to access if needed.
