Don’t you hate it when your inbox is clogged with emails from someone looking to sell something or sublet their apartment? Do you attend college in a city with no Craigslist or hate sifting through Craigslist ads to find stuff you actually need (like textbooks)? Would you prefer to buy stuff from people you know - classmates and alumni - rather than from complete strangers on Craigslist or eBay?
Why not create a hybrid website of Facebook and Craigslist that allows students to easily buy and sell books, furniture, or other goods to students attending the same university? One feature, for example, would allow members to match their current courses to other members who took the same courses in previous years, greatly facilitating the market for used books.

I like, I like.
Guys, I have an old recliner I am trying to sell. $20 or best offer.
Betcha the Facebook folks would consider developing this. It's definitely got some advantages over Craigslist.
Good idea. The used textbook market is highly potential.
awesome! (though i'd even be happy with a way to end shameless promotion using the global address list.)
It is aa good idea. will help save time.
I like vpathrose's injection of humor. I think this is a very clever idea. Buy from someone you know.
Web 2.0, look it up.
Doesn't the Facebook Marketplace feature already address this to an 80% extent? I mean sure you can't necessarily filter your search based on your friends only, but you can filter it by network.
