Anti-Jet Lag | |||||||||||||||||
Have you ever traveled across time zones only to return to a week's worth of sleeplessness Jet Lag? What if there was a pill we could take (aside from a traditional sleeping pill or debated melatonin treatment) that would rid us of our jet lag. Just take the pill like a vitamin at the same time each day (maintaining your local time) and your body's clock can naturally return that local time after your travel ...

Right. Now, again, just what is the chemical that does this?
i think they have a pill for this called Melatonin. It's supposedly the same sleep hormone that your body secretes to tell it that it's ready to sleep. Though, i've tried it before and found it not very effective.
I propose a delicate treatment involving a baseball bat.
Jet lag is the biggest pile ever. I work nights, sometimes I will work a couple nights, others I will work 5 nights. I then have classes and a social schedule during the days. It takes me a full day of having not slept, and maybe a few well placed sleeping pills or energy drinks based on the time; either way, I frequently shift my sleeping schedules back and forth 180 degrees, sometimes less, sometimes more. People need to stop whining about their pretend syndrome and just go without sleep for a day and fall asleep at night when they're going to be exhausted.
I reset my watch when I get on the plane to the new time zone. I force myself to go to sleep 2 hours after my normal scheduled sleep of about 10 at night. I wake up while on the plane and carry on my day unhampered by jet lag.
But I think each person responds to jet lag differently.
The current jet lag pill seems to work for some people.
