I'd actually like it if the photos could skip my camera and go straight from to my computer--and not as an email--but as a file/folder i could save under "my pictures". I currently own a camera that came with the world's most unintuitive software. I cannot get the photos off the program--cant post them to the web, cant save them to a file. So, I'd love to get photos of my international experience sent from classmates' cameras straight to my computer's hard drive.

This sounds like the sort of thing that bluetooth or Infrared would be perfect for. Put bluetooth in the camera, then it could talk with a BT enabled phone or Computer to move the files easily. I belieeve most users would sacrifice FAST image transfer for EASY image transfers, without tracking down some proprietary cable. Excellent idea.

Great idea. Almost any device that facilitates person-to-person sharing will be successful.

I think I might have uploaded pics from your memory card 152 :) This is a great idea- I'm a picture junkie but realize the limitations of my own camera and it's obnoxious when traveling with a group to ask a stranger to take the same picture with 15 different cameras- if there were an easy way to just send the pic (not on ofoto but at its highest resolution) to everyone in it, it would be great.
