Page button on a TV | |||||||||||||||||
Have you ever become frustrated when you misplaced your TV, VCR or Universal remote? Why cant these remotes be paged? The old cordless phones of the late 80s and 90s had a base unit which came with a "page" button which when pressed would cause the cordless phone to beep thereby allowing the user to find it. Why cant a TV come with a page button which when pressed causes the remote to light up and sound a beep thereby allowing a person to track it down when it's hidden under the sofa pillow or is accidently left in the kitchen or bathroom!

It would be a very useful function.
Awesome Idea.. I loose my remote a good bit. Why can't we have a really tiny one for our watch or wallet also?
How about including this as a feature of a new home- the builder could install a page button a few different places throughout the home and the owner could choose 4 or 5 items (keys, phone, remotes, important documents) to link into the paging system.
My mother has a similar device for her car keys. Extending it to the remote and other small household items seems very logical.
How about have a small device you can attach it to anything, including the remote?
