Beer Pong Kit | |||||||||||||||||
Beer Pong continues its explosive growth on college campuses and beyond and does not appear to be losing any steam. Yet who among us hasn't tried to get a game going only to realize that the ping pong balls are nowhere to be found? To make matters worse, most grocery stores do not carry them, and if it's after 10:00, you could just be SOL. However, we all know that there are certain beers that are "college beers" (I'm looking at you, Schaefer). Why not market a 30-pack of Keystone, Schaefer, or Busch Light with two ping pong balls included? This would be a great way to distinguish a beer from all of the other cheap options and would help create an emotional bond for the thirsty college consumer. Alternately, Solo could do the same and embrace their "red party cup" status.

Even more brilliant than your mystical "beer pong robot."
Seriously, though, printing brand logos or other advertising images on the balls could provide a great additional marketing punch.
Good stuff. I can see a real first-mover advantage here with beer pong brand association. Perhaps they could even organize a college tournament sponsored by the brand.
Sweet. It could also include a little pamphlet with standardized "Rules of the Game", since the rules tend to vary greatly by geographical region.
This idea doesn't surprise me :) There could be a whole game line of beers with various accessories- decks of cards, etc. Solo could probably do even more business by partnering and including their cups in the set.
If I work in R&D for your company, what would I do all day?
