For people who just cannot wake up without splashing water on their face, I would provide the DeepAlarm alarm clock that can be filled with water, and 15 seconds after the alarm has rung would squirt it at the customer's face.
The clock would need to be positioned properly; we assume that the customer is serious about being woken up and will do this. If the alarm is turned off within the 15 second interval, the water does not squirt.
The practical joke version of this clock can have a rubber mallet attacked to a coiled spring. Enough said.

This is hysterical. I think it is a great idea. This deserves an award. I can't stop laughing.
They have a few novelty alarm clocks at Think Geek (<A href="http://www.thinkgeek.com">http://www.thinkgeek.com</A>). One has a helicopter that flies off and won't turn the alarm off until you get it and put it back on the station. There's one that you can network with WiFi and set it up to donate money to charity when you hit Snooze. Check it out.
