My idea is to put some kind of indicator on disposable contacts to indicate when to replace the contacts, for instance: a red tint would show up on your contact lens if you use it up more than the recommended time frame (could be 2-weeks to 6-weeks depending on the type and durability of the contacts). It works like Oral-B stripe only it applies on disposable contact lens. This is especially important for those people who easily lose track of when they last replace their contacts or people who use their contacts at longer hours on daily basis. Overusing contact can have dangerous implication to eyes on the long term so this indicator can serve as a prevention method.
Note: I'm assuming here that the cost of contact with the exp indication is still lower than the price of daily disposable contact (which I think maybe possible considering the relatively low premium on oral B stripe).

As a disposable contact lens wearer, I definitely agree that it would be great to have some signal of when to change lenses. I try to remember to change mine at least every month, but I know there have been times where I've let it go way too long and risked some wicked form of eye infection.
I desperately need this product. As a disposable contact user who's overuse of a pair of contacts once forced me to the emergency room when the contact torn into multiple pieces. I now mark my outlook calendar with a reminder for when I need to start a new pair.
Excellent idea. I too use disposable contacts and can never manage to remember the expiration date of my lenses.
