Iron/Starch Combo | |||||||||||||||||
We already have irons that can spray water directly onto the clothes we're ironing. Why not have irons with built-in spray starch dispensers as well? I never remember to pull out the can of starch from the back of the closet, but I would use the starch a lot more often if it was already incorporated into the iron! Of course you would have replacement cartridges and different scents available, etc.

Simple and useful. I do wonder why this hasn't been done already!...
I really like this concept, but don't think that it should be applied through a spray mechanism like water. With water, one tends to use it on small areas, but starch is applied to a whole garment. With starch, it seems like it would be a lot of work, basically having to spray a whole clothing item one squirt at a time. This would also be hard to make evenly distributed. I think that it should be dispensed in a manner more similar to that of steam. That would make it easier to apply starch to a whole garment, and easier to distribute more evenly. It would also still provide the flexibility for the user to choose which part of a garment to starch.
