Toiletry bag modification | |||||||||||||||||
Whenever I travel, I go through this routine trying to ensure that I've included all of my toiletry needs - toothpaste, tooth brush, razor, shaving cream, etc. I am never quite sure that I've included everything I need until I'm in my hotel room unpacking. Why not have a toiletry bag that has labels (with specific compartments for specific toiletries)? The bag could be standardized with certain labels/compartments (e.g., deoderant), but would also include "write-in" labels with extra compartments so that individualized needs could be met.

You could just keep a checklist in your bag.
I don't understand. You list five toiletry articles, then say you can't remember if they're all there? I guess you might need to add aftershave and personal medications, but that still isn't a very long list. Not only that, but with the restrictions on flying with liquids nowadays, quite a few hotels are now providing miniature tubes of toothpaste and shaving gel as part of housekeeping.
If you tend to travel with a zillion and one toiletry articles well, erm, hmm, I believe you will find that better quality women's toiletry bags often have numerous compartments. Some of them come in gender-neutral colours like black.
