These days we all have so many portable electronics that we carry around and often use in the car - for example iPods, cell phones, computers. You have to buy a special adaptor for each of these products to plug it into the cigarette lighter to get power. Why not just put an AC outlet (rated for small electronics) in the car - it'll provide an easy way to plug in your electronics without buying so many seperate adaptors.
