Degradable chewing gum | |||||||||||||||||
Chewing gum should break down in sun, water, or air to keep the disgusting stuff from piling up on sidewalks and under tables in finer restaurants.

Great, if someone can come up with a way to do that. In the meantime the town of Bournemouth in UK has a great system - lampposts each have a small board attached, on which is fixed a removable piece of paper. The paper is printed with pictures of all those people you love to hate, Tony Blair, George Bush, B list celebrities with over large grins etc. It is amazing how quickly the chewing gum gets attached to the paper.Ian
