There should be a car service for seniors that provides transportation and labor for a reasonable flat fee. A senior citizen would be able to call the service, be taken to a grocery store, helped with shopping, and then helped with unpacking. There could also be a la carte options if the person just wants a ride and doesn't need help with lifting and carrying.
