I would be interested in a internet for commerce and reference only. All of the Blogs, YouTube, and other things can get a bit cumbersome. I know I don't have to visit these sites and I typically don't. It is a major waste of time and I have been sucked into reading or viewing completely useless information. (I realize this is my own fault) It is a little hard for a mind to accumulate knowledge that is useful let alone having to separate a lot of noise. I can go to a public library and not get bombarded with the personal musings and generally unintelligent mass of information. (Blogs) Also when I go to the bank or businesses I am calmly and quietly (and efficiently) assisted. It seems like there could be an internet browser or a separate internet for commerce and reference only. Just sort of something that weeds out all of the extras and leaves you with basic (very) useful internet applications. Also I am a little out of tech loops, television (I have none) and other various networks of humans so this may already exist and I am simply not aware of it. Any ideas? Suggestions?

You said it first, itis your choice, so just exercise that choice,simple as that.There are aspects of the internet I don't touch, and that is my choice.
Maybe, instead of a "separate" internet, they could design a system for searching the internet that can be set to filter out blogs, etc. Perhaps they could make it so that you could select what sort of sites it will show, so for example, you could select "reference" or "commercial" and it would only show the appropriate sites.
I'd be all for more TLDs. We have an .info that doesn't seem to be getting used as much as I'd like. We could also have a .blog and maybe even .shop for online stores. Could drop in an .adult while we're at it.
