Imagine waking up to a personalized morning program that allows you to select content. In short, you could program your alarm clock through your computer to wake you up with the day's weather, traffic, top news stories, sports scores etc. You would select which programing you wanted to hear first thing in the morning and then sync it with your computer. When your alarm clock goes off, it would begin with your selected music that get's louder until it kicks into your program. "Good morning. The weather today is cold and cloudy with a 75% chance of rain. There is an accident on the XXX bridge and drivers should look for alternative routes..." This would save you the time in front of the computer in the morning and you would know what to wear before you get out of bed, and whether or not you have the time to enjoy another cup of coffee before you hit the road.

I looked at my computer clock just now and it has no alarm function at all. That was a serious oversight by the MS designers. All computers should have an alarm feature. It should enable most of the ideas presented here. There would also be advantages to having a separate clock too. Anyway, good idea.
This is a good idea but what if we could get this feature in our mobile phones? Though I agree that alarm feature should also be there in computers so that you can use your time in a more planned way.
