Currently, I am thinking about getting into collectables and being sort of like a broker just look at all the wanteds then go online where most people don't search and sell to dealers or individuales. Ebay has at want it now and there are individual niche sites for say comics that has a classifieds area and there are many of them. Why not either have one website that just focuses on just high end say $500 or more value per item for just a wanteds instead of competing with the typical lower end things where there is little money to be made. Another option would be to go into some niches and make a website thats just wanteds and that must have a certain value of say %500 or more? Also, maybe an option for the website would be to create an incentive for dealers to use it as sort of a place to find people/affiliates who could be rated by dealers like ebay does and give their specialty and who go out and get what dealers are not able to get for thier customers and the affiliate gets a cut. Not sure what model would best work to make money on this idea maybe when and if the website gets popular you then charge for a list of wanteds to the affiliate or charge the dealer since they are able to make money they otherwise woudln't. I simply wanted to have an organized list of what people want without searching the whole net and I don't like the way ebay has their want it section designed and hardly anybody either knows about it or uses it not sure if that means its poorly marketed or the demand just isn't there. I guess if all else fails I Could do what ebay cant do which is a pain but call lots of dealers ask them for not the customer names or info but what they want send it to them and get cash? Any thoughts?
